Rooted in Nature, Growing Together
Nature Nurtures Tay Forest School is a community-based non-profit offering nature-focused, outdoor education for children in the Township of Tay. We believe that children thrive when they have the freedom to explore, create, and discover in the natural world.
What We Believe
Our approach is guided by deeply held values about childhood, community, and the natural world.
Nature-Based Learning
Children learn through direct experience with the natural world — forests, fields, water, and sky.
Play & Inquiry
Curiosity-driven exploration and imaginative play form the foundation of every day.
Belonging & Inclusion
Every child is welcomed with dignity, respect, and meaningful participation in community.
Managed Risk & Growth
Age-appropriate challenge builds resilience, confidence, and a sense of capability.
Seasonal Rhythm
Learning follows the seasons — from autumn's harvest to winter's stillness and spring's renewal.
Community Roots
Families, educators, and neighbours build a school rooted in the land and community.

A Place to Grow, Explore, and Belong
Set on beautiful land at 2703 Triple Bay Rd. in Port McNicoll, our forest school offers children ages 3–12 the chance to learn through play, inquiry, and hands-on experience in nature. From September through June, children spend their days outdoors — building, discovering, creating, and connecting with the land and each other.
We are currently welcoming inquiries from families interested in joining our community for the upcoming school year.
Learning Through Every Season
Each season brings new wonders, new questions, and new opportunities for discovery.
